It rather depends where you are flying from. In previous years it would have been almost impossible to get durian (Dorian) through a whole flight without being too pungent for the cabin (or the luggage hold for that matter). This is only one of two problems. The second problem is the husk is such a waste of weight, so you barely be able to take one or two fruits with you given the 2kg allowance.
Anyway, in the last few years of visits to Singapore, I have noticed that pretty much every durian stall has a vacuum sealer. They will remove the fruit from the husk and then put into a vacuum sealed container (usually a typical food take away box).
So it is now entirely possible to bring durians on the plane with you. However, this doesn't mean it's a good idea LOL
