If the children are under 12 though then bookings can be TCP but only to ensure children under 12 are sat with adults. It doesnt guarantee that all 4 passengers are sat together.
But the op makes it clear that each pnr includes 1adult+1child hence my position that ba’s will consider that seating adult+child together for each individual pnr will be their only obligation.
