I have to agree. The contrast between the bar/buffet area and the east end in terms of crowds during busy periods is really quite remarkable. It's a classic example of people mindlessly following the herd and not even thinking to look for a better alternative.
The airline lounge equivalent of everyone ending up standing in the kitchen during a party, while the living room couches are all empty.
