I must confess I am not sad.
The frame itself is great to fly as a pax though AF never managed to make it a true flagship aircraft:
- they bought or leased only 10, likely under pressure
- had tons of mechanical and operational problems, including some very serious ones (Greenland)
- of course they had to negotiate with the pilots' unions who had the privilege to fly it, increasing again the costs
- put this stupid museum area whereas other airlines managed to smartly use the space
- they never upgraded premium cabins
A series of unwise choices by the airline except the decision to remove them. Now the sooner they get rid of it the better.
