I just noticed I received a targeted offer for the United Club card for the first year annual fee waived. Is there a maximum number of miles you can earn on all purchases at the 1.5x rate? Thanks

Re: Chase Freedom Unlimited - that is correct.

On the Club Card, there is no max on the number of miles you can earn at 1.5x. However, you are only earning United miles, so you do not have the same flexibility as Ultimate Reward points. Additionally, keep in mind that the Freedom Unlimited has no annual fee - so on that basis alone, it will look more compelling (unless you will be using the included United Club membership a bit, and it depends on how much you value that...).
