My other option is the Intercontinental which is going for €90-100 when I want to be there, which is an excellent rate for an IC. I have no doubt that hotel is excellent, although I am truly not crazy about the Intercontinental brand (I find it too variable and I have never had a good night's sleep at an Intercontinental).
I‘ve been there and also live in Berlin. Friendly staff,
tiny rooms and though the breakfast is good, it is miles away from the offering at IC Berlin. The IC plays on another level in virtually every aspect. Location wise it is a bit tricky, as it really depends on where you want to go in Berlin. That being said, the Indigo is not a bad hotel at all, it is quite nice actually. However, personally I would prefer the IC anytime.
