Male / Female flag on your Bonvoy profile.

Prompted by a rather irked colleague, who had just received her Ambassador welcome email which opened “Dear Mr ....”, I asked her to check her ‘personal details ‘ Bonvoy profile and we noted that the Male/Female flag is not checked. Neither is mine.

Both our Bonvoy accounts came over from the SPG side of the house. I’m pretty sure the M/F flags were set there, so I’m thinking that the flags were not set (either in error, or by design, who knows ?) when the account data was transferred.

Seems that this is not a mandatory field in Bonvoy, which is quite unusual for systems of this type.

Just curious : what’s happened to the data from the MR side ? Was there a M/F flag, and did it transfer to Bonvoy ?

Anyway, if being addressed correctly matters to you, it might be worth checking your account and setting the flag if it’s not set already.
