I'm booking an EI (Aer Lingus) flight via BA.com - given it's a BA booking, if I add my AA number to this would this credit the flight, even though it's operated by EI?

Thanks in advance.
Nope. In this instance, it’s about the rule that one must fly on a oneworld marketed flight (check) operated by a oneworld airline (nope). (Exceptions are Qantas marketed flights and many Japan Airlines marketed flights. Aer Lingus is not an exception.)

See https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/amer...an-flying.html.

ANY miles earning or spending will extend the life of those miles another eighteen months.
