Hi - looking for a bit of advice. My last activity on my AAdvantage account is nearing 18 months, so I want to credit something to keep it live and not lose the miles. I know I can do some online shopping, but before I go down that route, I'm wondering if this would work.

I'm booking an EI (Aer Lingus) flight via BA.com - given it's a BA booking, if I add my AA number to this would this credit the flight, even though it's operated by EI?
