It’s an individual decision, but there are still MileSAAver awards available to the flexible and persistent traveler. The biggest devaluation has been using AA miles on AA, particularly for high demand flights.
I try not to use mine on actual AA metal. I don’t really enjoy flying AA but I enjoy Qatar and Etihad so that is why I continue to push my travel to AA so I can do awards on partner airlines.
