I'd like them to preserve the original station in an architecture park, as Lap suggested. If they're removing the original building wholesale (which makes sense, given the safety concerns and space constraints at the current location), I expect the "recreation" in modern materials on the same site will be pure window dressing, so to speak - no better than photographs from the point of view of preserving a historic / cultural asset.
