I hope it doesn't sound too foo-foo, but whether something can be flipped for $100, or $300, 5 years down the road, should have absolutely no bearing on what $1000-$3000 laptop you buy today.
It's pretty much absurd as a criteria. To be dictated what sort of experience you'll have for multiple hours per day, at a delta of literally 1 penny ($200/1800d)
