This isn't quite true. Far out they are confirmed in Economy, but the nearer it gets to departure date then they can get included in the Club Number if loads are light enough. When they check in, online or at the airport they are then checked straight into Club for example. You can tell by watching the dashboard figures in the 3 days prior to departure and how they change. (If there were 5 staff on J Firms and the Club Booked Load goes up by 5 then that's a good sign they've been processed). It absolutely can happen before check in opens and on flights which aren't full. On busier flights its best to assume they haven't been processed till at the airport.
