Just wanted to chime in that I was just poking around Carlsbad for fun and I had noticed the same thing because I had stayed here the last time we were there. I thought it had completely shuttered and then noticed that it was a different branded hotel. Even though this upcoming trip requires I stay at a Marriott for 7 nights, I was still a little bummed to see it no longer Hyatt. Is it odd that they had actually dropped a category right recently and then deflagged? Also, from talking to the staff there at my last stay, it seemed like this was a common hotel for new employees to go to for training.
