Agree with all that. However, I have been saying 24hr konbini is unnecessary in MOST areas of Jpn, not all areas. Of course, Kabukicho and Ikebukuro and 50+ other districts in/around Tokyo need 24-hr konbinis. But most of the country isn't like Tokyo.
