I would seriously skip Hong Kong at the moment if you do not have to be there for business. I just return from a 6 day stay there on the 15th at the Conrad. The staff was great but at least three nights they advised us to stay in the hotel due to problems in the area. On those three night the mall connected to the hotel also closed early. On the last night of our stay we switched hotels to an airport hotel as to not have any problems making our flight. The afternoon we left to head to the airport there was a major delay due to the protest in the Central area. If you decide to go a cab from the airport to the Conrad will run you around 400.00 HKD. The train from the airport was running but you never know about the MTR.
