After reaching out to the merchant twice without hearing back I submitted a dispute for $19.XX on AMEX website. I figured it was a longshot because I have 0 proof that the item was $300 and not $320 but I wanted to file the dispute since the merchant hadn’t responded to any of my follow ups.
I first received a message saying that I would be temporarily credited the $19.XX while they looked into it. With 1 minute the dispute has moved to “closed status” and I should read the message provided—which I cannot find anywhere. Does this mean I won or lost?
how do you have zero proof? no invoice? checkout summary? email confirmation? you can't go back to the website and "re-create" the order?
