Hard to define "general consensus" but there are a lot of complaints in this thread about service levels at this property. Unless reports change dramatically, I personally won't consider staying here again due to the service issues I experienced and total lack of recovery.
Most of the complaints here are about their concierge services. Granted, I don’t use their services to book fine dining establishments around town (I only use them for super local, hole in wall eatery recommendations they would go after their shift and local barber shops to get a Japanese haircut - and they’ve been pretty great at that), but I find their general service to be perfectly in line with other 5 star hotels in the country. They also spoil their return customers well and I’m just a Discoverist with less than two handfuls of stays.
