I have lost one TUMI hang tag on a checked bag out of around 30 total checked flights. They replaced it under TUMI warranty. I keep extra ID inside the bag

The biggest issue with checking the aluminum bag is that the corner pieces get very hacked up, but the rest of the bag looks fine. The dents are part of the charm. A large dent can be straightened out from the inside of the case with the right size hammer. I enjoy the case for the lack of zippers. Engage the 3 clips, and you're gone. I will be taking all four of mine on DL to NRT next month.
