Again, OP has confirmed this is an LX ticket. SQ will not do anything on an LX ticket if OP wants to change flights due to equipment change; it’s not their ticket to control or make changes to until the day of flight. OP is doing the correct thing and letting the travel agent handle it; presumably they will see if they can take LX/LH to connect with an SQ flight with new Suites.
OP: I would see if you can connect in NRT, if you simply must fly new Suites.

SQ new suites are there after the first of the year. It will also give you a considerably longer trip in them. I think the connection experience would be far better than in India or mainland China, some of your other options.
