I stayed at the Conrad HK last night. I heard hotels in Hong Kong were offering crazy rates as low as $700 per night.

I was quoted $1750 which was the same as on the site. I tried Shangri La too. But was quoted $3500. Not sure how to get these 'unadvertised rates' I heard about!

I ended up using points and cash. Upgraded to a harbour view King suite and a 5pm checkout.

Hotel was totally dead. Obviously service was brilliant, but you can see they suffering from very low occupancy from front desk to breakfast, things have been scaled back.
