There's a huge gap between not collecting payment and antagonizing a guest who is trying to use a gc, there's a whole big middle with lots of other options. Agsin most fd clerks and all the managers I've come across have been able to collect payments from gc the other hundreds of times I've used them. The manager at the the Four Points could have offered points or money off the bill or anything that she wanted to do. She could even have gone to someone higher up to authorize something. She also could have apologized instead of accusing me or making up a bunch of a nonsense.
The point is are you trying to work with the guest and apologize when you cannot do something you should be able to do or do you antagonize, mislead, and make up things to get rid of the guest.
