How important is getting the SQ new suites product on a three and a half hour or so flight? Who issued the ticket?

It seems the proposals to change dates or connect through PVG are what you have to work with, but it's going to depend on who issued the ticket and ticket rules.

Personally I'd see if I could reroute nonstop to SIN unless the cost was too dear, and the timing for connections with getting a new suites A380 didn't line up well with going through PVG (personally, I think it's not worth cooling your heels for very long in a PVG lounge just to tick a box on a middling length flight), and enjoy LH/LX F and your time in Singapore with your partner. If making ANY changes is too expensive, just settle for HKG connections and SQ old 777 F I guess. If you can afford an ticket in A class without it being a stress on your budget, another shot at SQ suites will come soon enough, even if you can't fly paid F that often- and once SQ has more A380s refitted it will be easier to do this.

If it's an LH/LX ticket SQ isn't going to do anything for the OP on an equipment change well in advance; they don't control the ticket until day of flight. They'll need to talk to whoever issued it.

Given that OP's username indicates that they're based not TOO far from ZRH in GVA, and yet they aren't flying ZRH-SIN-ZRH (which is getting the new Suites), I suspect this isn't an SQ ticket.
