SQ A380 suite -> we got "downgraded" to 777 :(
Hi community -
reaching out for some advice / opinions: Myself and my partner have booked a first class trip with one of the legs being Hongkong -> Singapore on the (new) Singapore Airlines First Class Suites in their A380 (flight SQ861). Flight is planned in three weeks. The new SQ A380 Suites such a great product, I read a lot about it and thus booked back in May to secure the connecting suite 1A / 2A. Its a paid ticket, fare class "A".
Now, I received an email from Singapore Airlines this morning that the flight got changed and will now be operated by a 777 which does not have the Suites. In addition, we do not have allocated adjacent seats with only one seat remaining to reserve.
I am aware this is a first-world problem, so appologies in case you dont agree, but we were really looked forward to this flight and do not often have a chance to fly in First Class.
Its seem that +- 2 days there is no A380 available on this route to SQ must have complete cancelled the A380s on that route.
Our routing:
ZRH to HKG on Swiss (777 first class)
HKG to SIN (A380 Suites -> now on 777 First cabin)
Return SIN-HKG in SQ (777 first class)
HGK-MUC on LH (A380 First).
What would you recommened?
