PS - By the way, noticed many visitors now line up for Swan's Seafood on Polk. It has very fresh seafood (the crab salad is particularly good) and had been favorite of locals, until social media started promoted them (the Yelp thing). There used to never be lines, but now there's always one. However, if you go at around 1 pm or 2 pm, you may get a quick seat and try it. It's cash only.
PS 2 - if you have time, a place pretty unique to SF would be Cordon Bleu on California. It's casual, bar counter only and a restaurant that's been popular here amongst locals for the longest time. The food while not fancy, is actually very good. Just get the combo with chicken, pork & egg rolls with meat sauce over rice.
Thanks for the tips. I have amex plat but will be in T2 and with late flight at 11pm, don't know if time allows me to go to the amex lounge and back, plus it closes pretty early I think.
Would it be better to hit up the bridge and palace around noon first then come back to union square area? I'm assuming both places are just quick photo then go, so 30 minute to an hour or so?
