The actual taxes on BOS-LHR with carrier surcharge shows as $28.70 - the AA Carrier surcharge for economy is $65 , which comes to USD93.70 according to ITA

With 'taxes' of USD89.20, then QF is definitely charging the carrier surcharge

In business class , the surcharge is $600

If purchasing using AA miles, expect a cost of between $5.60 and $28.70 ( I think it will be $5.60 )

I think that surcharge may be due to the fact the flight is actually with BA, which QF would certainly pass on

Again I should’ve been more clear that the flights I’m looking at are actually via PHL. Are you please able to check what the AA flight from PHL would be directly vIa QF Miles. I’m hoping they only pass on the AA surcharge which is negligable.

it’s frustrating QF don’t put the charges on the website when booking if you don’t have enough miles. I won’t have enough miles until they tell me what they are charging!
