I do not want to have the glass bottle break in my hold bag , so would a better option be keeping them in my cabin bags and then declaring them as i really do not want a red wine soaked bag or would that not be allowed and get me the nickname of Mr Haram ?
Btw, Doha is not my final destination.
Thanks
When coming from South Africa there are quite a few options for protective bags/wraps/cases you can use for wine or just check in a second bag with the wine. When planning to do this I usually travel with a good supply of bubble wrap specifically for that purpose. And, when I was forced to check in packed duty free from another airport I checked it in my very flimsy hand luggage and sent it through. The Cream of Amarula survived intact!
