I always thought booking on AA metal and AA flights meant better bang for buck in terms of EQD and EQM.
However reading through the forums looks like BA offers a % of the miles flown as EQD and not the actual dollar amount which makes it lucrative for long haul flights at cheaper fares. Am I right in my thinking? I have about 5 international trips to India next year and I have 2 to Europe. So would it make more sense to book them on BA.com? TIA.
Do your research on AA.com. But in terms of EQD you often get more than you actually pay when on partner flights. It varies by carrier. You earn more award miles when booking on AA and AA marketing, EQMs are usually also better on AA than on partners.
I wouldn't limit to BA -- especially if going to India. QR is the way to go!!!
