From Finnish Wikipedia's list of Aero Oy and Finnair airplanes you can see that once upon a time Finnair (or Aero earlier) did name its planes, if I read the list correctly, DC-8s were the last Finnair planes with official names (after famous Finns).

Whoever named OH-LCF 'Kyytipoika' should have gotten an honorary Lumohood. Maybe he did...
That would be such an awesome name for a plane still today, not to mention the possibility for suitably named signature drinks on the menu.
