You can still use the Clubhouse upon arrival. This was discussed recently in another thread here on VS Lounge Access (the master thread?). Go through Flight Connections like you're staying in the airport, and use the lounge as a guest of your father. Then you can backtrack toward where you exited from Flight Connections and I believe there's a door that will take you to immigration and then landside. You may or may not need to ask someone to open the door. More details in that thread (and I think also in the BA forum, which is probably linked from there).
Per the rules, neither DMs or PMs are allowed to bring guests in. I've read where people have tried, but the lounge staff didn't budge. We thought about the visiting the Clubhouse but decided to just get a hotel nearby. Since we're planning on going into the city, it will be nice to have a place to drop our bags, change, maybe nap, etc. I haven't been to London in almost 20 years, so I'm very excited.
