in general terms, if you are taking a longhaul journey with only a couple of midweek nights away, it is likely because you have to go (for work, a funeral, etc.) and are less price-sensitive. If you are staying away for more than a few nights, including a Saturday, it is likely because you want to go (discretionary / family travel, etc.) and are more price-sensitive.
