I have an upcoming J cabin EQD run on BA purchased via BA.com that I'd like to upgrade to First using Avios. Has anyone done this? Any issues with the original ticket value/miles crediting to your AAdvantage account?

I'd really like the upgrade but afraid of messing up the accrual.
