The Westin does have a lot of positive reviews and most people in this thread were very happy there (other than the poster above me who is stating there are major service issues there). So I don't think it's a bad choice if that's what your budget allows.
The budget should not be an issue there... ;-)
We have not chosen the JW as it has just opened and there are always a few things that a resort has to figure out until it is running smoothly. But we are observing the actual reviews for new information. Another point is that I definitely don't like the sea walls there.
The W on the other hand is still in the race, especially as it seems that it has by far the best house reef of the marriott properties.
