I can understand the OP frustrations. however there is nothing that any passenger can do
when it comes to weather delays.. yes some airlines are pro active.. some not so much.
I know most if not all of us here, have been delayed for what ever reasons they are.
but at the end of the day.. yes we did get to our final destinations
