Your annual fee is charged on at the end of your 12th statement. Doesn't matter where in the month you apply.
Sorry, perhaps I am a bit slow with this concept. So the timing to cancel would be after the 11th statement has been issued, and after I pass the anniversary date of my card being issued, but before the 12th statement is actually issued?
So essentially after 1 year and 1 day of my card being approved, I should be safe and cancel it.
