I have a booking on one of the new MH/BA codeshares and I want to pick my seats, in MMB it is saying that for the outbound leg (KUL-DPS) I have to wait until check-in and for the return leg (DPS-KUL) I have been allocated seats (which I have changed using the Finnair website).

I called the Silver line and was told that I will be able to do it by going the the Malaysia airlines website and entering my BA PNR, no such luck!

The DPS-KUL leg is booked into Y whereas the KUL-DPS leg is booked into K which might explain why I can pick seats for one but not the other?

I was expecting there to be a different PNR as there is when you have an IB codeshare, the agent said there is not.
