Credit card charged for cancellable reservation?
I just made a reservation at the Westin Hapuna for January and saw that my credit card was charged for one night even though the reservation is cancellable up to 3 days before the reservation. I expect Marriott will return my money if I cancel, but I never had this happen before. Is this new? I suppose I should bet my Titanium 17 points-per-dollar for a hotel stay now

Anyway, was I just booking low end rooms before?
