But so long as you let somebody else buy your ticket, isn't that always a risk, even using an agent, since you don't get anything that shows your passport number etc till you try to check in.
That is, you can only be certain there are no mistakes -- name, birthdate, nationality, sex, passport number -- if you sit down at the computer and do the booking yourself. Is that right?
Not always easy. Our corporate travel agent takes considerable micro managing. From booking impossible connections on split tickets, to providing a passport number unlike any I’ve ever had, they’ve made just about every mistake going. I’ve been tempted just to let them screw up a trip, but my trips are revenue that affects not just my job.
