This still doesn't explain why this was just implemented on Song (are mainline fliers more conscientious about following rules?); and doesn't explain why it can't be done by SMS or CRC. However, it is keeping me from booking another Song flight.

I have serveral future Song flights, from LAS to JFK on tap. As (then Silver Med.) I was able to book exit aisle seats for all of them; exit aisle seats are still available on most of these--I just checked. [The seats I booked have not changed.]
