Our skis are quite light but we have only a soft padded case.

I don't think we will have a huge problem outgoing as we start in Halifax with West Jet and they allow two pairs of ski in one bag. If we have a problem there the skis will go back in our car and we will have to rent.

Upon return if we have our skis we will do some begging or pay the cost of an extra bag (which is around the cost of rental.)
