This is an unfair comparison, as later posts on AA board disclose the reason for soup/fruit service from LIH-LAX is due to limited catering facilities in Kauai.

Normal service in AA F from the Islands (HNL, KOA, OGG) consists of warm mixed nuts, large salad, choice of three hot entrees, fruit/cheese, ice cream sundae.
