I have to agree in the challenge of actually pursuing this. I had a situation just a few weeks ago at the Hotel Trio--as a Plat elite, I checked in and I didn't really think much of it until later that I had not been offered the option of points or F&B. When I later went down to the front desk to mention this and claim the compensation for their failure to offer it they looked at my record and were like but of course you were granted points. I'm very certain the front desk agent offered no option to me; rather, they gleefully chose to make me feel like an idiot later on, implying that I didn't know what I was talking about or that I was trying to game the system. Anyways, I don't know how you deal with such confrontation to ensure the program rules are being met, so I let it go.
