I was at the Pen and WA this spring. The Pen is close to the WA. It was renovated I think in 2017? Close to WFJ too, which is good for tourist. Not close close but relatively compared to some of the other hotels on the list. A few blocks away from the closest metro stations so take that into consideration. Service at both places are good too for mainland standard. Rosewood is my favorite in terms of design but it’s in a businessy area. Sanlitun seems to be popular with my expat friends, but I wouldn’t recommend for a tourist.

Also 100% agree with choose a hotel based on location, unless you plan to spend significant amount of time at the hotel.
