I was able to do it for domestic AKL-CHC but I had bought that as a separate one-way ticket where I had consciously purchased their same-day flex ticket that permits changes to any other flight on the day of travel. I was booked on a 11am AKL-CHC and was able to move it to 10am (9am was sold out). I actually did this with their mobile app on landing at AKL. Had it confirmed before we got off the aircraft. I do not know if there is any flexibility in the original ticket but I would suggest firing up ANZ's mobile app on landing and going through the steps to try and change the flight. It may or may not work... I'm betting it probably won't, in which case you can try asking ANZ after you arrive at their lounge... there is a service desk just behind the entrance.
