No good reason to have the bags arrive before your check-in date.

- Some hotels simply refuse bulky delivery prior to check-in date, because some selfish people ship commercial quantities of online purchases to their hotels.
- Small hotels do not have enough storage facilities to hold luggage. Rather inconsiderate for the guest as there are better alternatives.
- Misplacement of shipment. This happened to me. It was a SIM card (envelope). Front desk claimed repeatedly it was never received. I had to show them the delivery confirmation webpage online and it was eventually found.
- As mentioned in previous post, use the post-dated delivery service, up to 7 days, to your hotel.
- As far as I know, only commercial shippers can send to combini. Individual can re-direct a shipment to a combini once the it is in transit.
