So, I applied by clicking on a valid link, by entering a valid code, and by submitting my application on 31 October 2019. Despite having done all of that, Barclays said the $99 annual fee would not be waived and they refused to waive the annual fee or to apply a credit equivalent to the annual fee. As a result, I closed my account before I received the card. Rubbish.
