We might be in Sendai then, or just doing something else (we'll be based at my father-in-law's house following our own itinerary)

Am not sure I've been clear enough here. It's not really advice I want, just reports and feedback to what other people have actually done when they've been in similar situations.

For instance, would love to find out how TA (the OP) gets on.
