The evening flight from MAN (LH947) often arrives at a Z gate which would be ideal for connecting to BKK from another Z gate. No need for passport control or security! Otherwise you are likely to arrive at ANS bus gate which will involve unnecessary transit security at the top of the escalator as chris63 points out.
