I have lost track of how many times gypsies have tried to pickpocket me in Europe, so I just prefer to leave my credit cards with my passport locked up wherever I am staying.

I am sure my Visa and Mastercard issuers would rise to the occasion, but I would rather just not cross that bridge. I don't need my high-limit cards to buy a soda.
