On that service, due to the sun, the starboard side is better. But there is a big bias to the port side when it comes to seat selection. Bit daft, there is more footfall on port, but that's another matter.
I would have thought that people would want to avoid the sun glaring through the window and thus book port on the way out?
I'm guessing the extra footfall on port in your comment is because it is the side people boarded on, so they feel more comfortable up and down that side of the aircraft?
